I have no problem leaving my cars with valets that I know personally on a daily basis (University parking lot, the office parking lot and the one restaurant I regularly go to).

They seem to know what they are doing and are all around 50 years old.

I don’t do maintenance on my cars for their own good.

I hate valeting... but honestly, it’s my personal hang up. I have a pretty strong case of the “don’t touch my stuff” syndrome.

I go to “soft cloth” car washes and use the dreaded “brush” at the coin op wash all the time. Some people would put me on par with Hitler for those actions.

Those folks need to chill.

For me its always depending on the type of car. My old Jetta? Go for it, valets. It’s a diesel, just try to break traction. I wouldn’t hand over my 235, though.

Maybe if it was some beater, weekend toy, or project car I would. But for my somewhat expensive daily driver, I really just want everything to work right and don’t need it to be a guinea pig!

I valet park all of my cars. I have witnessed first-hand many of them being launched or given more gas than necessary but quite honestly, I don’t care. Those valets don’t stick around very long and neither do my cars. I also don’t care what kind of car wash I go to, I have curbed my wheels, and I don’t really care about dings and scratches. It’s just a car, but if I see someone do something on purpose, actions will be taken against them.

Last time I valet’d my car, I heard them stall it multiple times just to pull around the corner of the garage. They probably didn’t launch it or anything, though...
